This week we will continue working with arrays to solve multiplication problems. We will also use our fact families to introduce division.
During this unit of study, students will learn how to use repeated addition and arrays to solve multiplication problems of single digit numbers, how to find the quotient when solving a division problem, how to use multiplication and division to solve word problems, how to find an unknown whole number in a multiplication or division problem by using the inverse operation, learning the communtative, associative and distributive properties of multiplication, multiplying by multiples of ten, and continuing to study bar graphs and beginning to learn how to measure to the nearest ¼ inch with a ruler. Hi Parents,
This week we will be reviewing and take our unit test at the end of the week. Students will be bringing home their notebooks to help them study. To revisit any skills, please glance at the unit letter from the beginning of our unit that was posted with the weekly news Hi parents,
This week we will continue to work on adding and subtracting 3 digit numbers with regrouping and using these skills in word problems too. This has been a challenging skill, so please keep practicing at home. We will also go over rounding 3 digit numbers to the nearest ten and hundred with estimating sums and differences. We will have our second quiz at the end of the week. |
