This week we will continue working with arrays to solve multiplication problems. We will also use our fact families to introduce division.
During this unit of study, students will learn how to use repeated addition and arrays to solve multiplication problems of single digit numbers, how to find the quotient when solving a division problem, how to use multiplication and division to solve word problems, how to find an unknown whole number in a multiplication or division problem by using the inverse operation, learning the communtative, associative and distributive properties of multiplication, multiplying by multiples of ten, and continuing to study bar graphs and beginning to learn how to measure to the nearest ¼ inch with a ruler.
